Mini-Split Cost in Miami: 2026 Prices
A mini-split is often the best way to cool a garage, an addition, an efficiency or a room the central system never reaches. These are the planning ranges we use in Miami-Dade and what moves the final price.
Updated:
Planning ranges
- 1 indoor zone (one room, garage or efficiency): $2,500 – $4,500
- 2 to 4 zones on one outdoor unit: $4,500 – $14,500
- High-efficiency models and larger capacities sit at the top of each range
What a standard installation includes
- Indoor unit mounted on the wall and outdoor unit on a pad or wall brackets
- Refrigerant lines and drain for a standard run between the two units
- Electrical disconnect at the outdoor unit
- Vacuum of the lines, startup readings and a walkthrough of the remote
What adds to the price
- Long line runs, or indoor and outdoor units on different floors
- A new electrical circuit or a panel upgrade
- Line cover to hide the pipes on the outside wall
- Condo rules, roof or balcony locations and permits when they are required
Mini-split or central system?
A mini-split makes sense for one or a few rooms, spaces without ducts, or when you want to cool a room separately. For a whole house that already has ductwork in good condition, a central system is usually the better value. During the visit we measure the space and show you both options with written prices.
Good to know
New mini-splits use the newer refrigerants (R-32 or R-454B), so they are installed as a complete new system. Size matters more than brand: a unit that is too big cools fast but leaves the room humid, which is a real problem in Miami.
